Center Point, with a population of 23,000 is located northeast of Birmingham, only 12 miles from the downtown area. Center Point is considered one of the satellite cities, or suburbs of the greater Birmingham area. This is a city with a bright future! If you are looking for something to do, look no further than Center Point and Birmingham. There are convenient attractions for everyone to enjoy including Visionland Water Park and Rides, which have added a new water park in recent days; Red Mountain Museum; Birmingham Museum of Arts; Sports Hall of Fame; McWane Center; and The Alabama State Fair. The Birmingham Zoo is home to over seven hundred animals including an Alligator swamp, giraffes, greater kudu and gazelles. There is an exciting nightlife in Birmingham with many cozy jazz cafes and acoustic lounges. The Birmingham International Raceway and Lassiter Mountain Racetrack are also conveniently located to Fultondale. The Talladega Speedway is the largest speedway in the world and home of the Talladega 500. Talladega is located only 45 minutes from Center Point.
