East Brewton is located in the extreme south central Alabama, just north of the Florida Panhandle. The community is an hour north of Gulf of Mexico, about an hour and a half from Mobile, and about two hours from Montgomery, the state capital.

East Brewton today looks very like it did in the 1920's. In the 1900's it was common to build row store, one, two or three stories high along the railroad tracks. This is East Brewton today. Apart from the metal siding on two or three of the buildings, the town is unchanged.
