While Beebe's official population stands at 5300, there are some 8900 folks who live in handsome residential developments in and around Beebe.
Beebe has a superb school system of 2450 students, with all Beebe facilities on one large, attractive, secure campus. In 2004, the McRae School District merged with Beebe to add another 340 students.
Arkansas State University at Beebe is our largest employer. Last year it conferred more degrees than any other two-year college in Arkansas. It offers the Associate of Arts, the Associate of Applied Science, and the Associate of Science degrees. Technical certificate programs and a number of on-line courses, as well as the Associate of Arts online, are offered. On the Beebe campus, ASU-Jonesboro offers bachelor's degrees in eight areas of study and master's degrees in three areas. As Chancellor Eugene McKay likes to say, you can get anything from a GED to an MBA at ASU-Beebe.
