Norwood Park Relocation

About Norwood Park

Big Oaks, Norwood Park, Old Norwood, Oriole Park, Union Ridge

Many of Chicago’s police officers and firefighters call Norwood Park home. This manicured, middle-class, blue-collared community has a welcoming suburban look and feel. The top Chicago Public schools are within this area.

Norwood Park Housing

These charming, well-maintained homes range from just under $100,000 to over $500,000. Homes in Big Oaks run a lot higher, usually from $250,000 to $800,000. A focal point of the neighborhood is the Circle, complete with large Victorians and farm houses, these homes are over $500,000.

Norwood Park Culture

Most of the Norwood Park residents are Irish, Italian or Polish and dominantly Republican, contrary to the mostly Democratic Chicago. This is a close-knit and very-family oriented community, often hosting block parties and community get-togethers.

Norwood Park Recreation

Norwood Park proper boasts 14 acres of athletic fields, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center and field house. There are plenty of activities and programs to choose from as well as many local shops.
