Hermosa Relocation

About Hermosa

Belmont Gardens, Hermosa, Kelvyn Park

Historically, Hermosa was a Swedish neighborhood; now it is a dominantly middle-class, Hispanic community. The community has gone through many changes in the past few decades and like most Chicago neighborhoods, there has been an upsurge in real estate and home prices.

Hermosa Housing

There are many of the cottage-style homes in Hermosa with median price ranges around $250,000.

Hermosa Culture

Many of the residents in Hermosa are Hispanic, mainly of Mexican and some of Cuban ancestry. This is a close-knit, blue-collared community. The residents have spent a lot of time and energy keeping their streets crime-free by forming groups such as United Neighbors in Action. Community and neighborhood groups are common in Hermosa and many parents are involved with school activities.

Hermosa Recreation

As well as shopping and dining, Hermosa is home is Hermosa Park proper, complete with trails, baseball fields and tennis courts.
