Highland, California

Population: 41,600

Located in San Bernardino County

Nestled beneath the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains, the newly incorporated City of Highland offers an ideal business location in the Inland Empire of Southern California, the nation's fastest growing urban region. Situated between the Interstate 10 and Interstate 215 freeway corridors, Highland offers businesses and residents alike easy access to nearby Los Angeles and Orange Counties and the other business centers of the West.

Highland' s original town site was founded in 1891 and the community soon became an important contributor to the citrus industry. Many of the buildings constructed during the town's early era are still in use, helping to preserve the sense of community and tradition in the Highland of today.

Since its incorporation in 1987, Highland has grown 35.6% from a population of 29,500 to it's 1998 population of over 40,000. The promise and appeal of Highland will continue this trend, with the City projected to more than double to approximately 70,000 by the year 2010. This continuing influx of residents to Highland attests to the City's ongoing efforts to protect and enhance the quality of life by promoting planned growth.
