Imperial Beach offers the luxuries to experience tranquil moonlight strolls and magnificent sunset vistas. With ample parking and clusters of restaurants and retail shops in close proximity, one can pick up a quick picnic lunch or dine in a restaurant with an ocean view.
The perfect place for a picnic on the beach and some enjoyable family-fun in Dunes Park, a new beachfront park with state-of-the-art playground equipment, a volleyball area and picnic tables. A special feature of this park includes the recent addition of Ocean Riders, a seven foot high bronze sculpture, by the renown artist Wyland. The popular beachfront park was constructed by the San Diego Port District.
If you thought all of Southern California was expensive when it came to housing, you're in for a pleasant surprise! A four bedroom home with two bathrooms is very reasonably priced at $250-$350,000. A two bedroom condo will set you back about $120,000. Rentals are extremely reasonable too. A four bedroom home will rent for between $1,100 and $1,500 depending on the age of the property. An apartment, with one or two bedrooms ranges in price from $500 to $700. These prices are comparable with cities in other states.
