Commute: Martinez is located along Highway 4 near Highway 680. San Francisco takes over one hour to drive. Oakland and Pleasanton are 35-40 minutes. The Bart Station is just 5 minutes away; time to San Francisco is 55 minutes. The downtown Amtrak Station makes the Oakland Airport close by. Schools: Martinez has its own school district and has received numerous awards for outstanding schools including Alhambra High. The southern portion of the City is in the Mt.
