Morgan Hill is a city of 45,000 just south of San Francisco and San Jose. Morgan Hill is actually in the southern end of Silicon Valley. Although Morgan Hill still has great country living, the city is also the home to some well known and some lesser known manufacturing and research firms. Some recognizable names include CIDCO, one of the fastest growing companies in the United States with their caller ID equipment for telephones; Ericsson RF, Swedish owned manufacturer of telephones and digital equipment.

Specialized Bicycles began in Morgan Hill and it is still their headquarters. Cabot Laboratories manufactures cosmetics and Abbott Laboratories, Critical Care Division has relocated nearly 900 employees in a new 230,000 square foot building in Morgan Hill Ranch Business Park. Morgan Hill, along with its industrial base, is one of the few cities left with a viable downtown. The shopping includes antique shops and boutiques and many fine restaurants to accommodate the hungry shopper. Morgan Hill is known throughout the Valley for having first run movies at the theaters and without the long lines at movie houses to the North. There are over 200 motel rooms to make a stay in Morgan Hill a comfortable experience. The area is also known for great hiking, camping and boating.
