Commute: 27 minutes to San Francisco; Orinda is the closest city in Contra Costa County to the East Bay and San Francisco. Orinda has it’s own BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station for easy commuting, just 10 minutes to Oakland, 27 minutes to San Francisco.

Schools: Orinda Schools are excellent, with highly supportive parents and teachers. Academic standards are high. Miramonte High School is part of the Acalanes Union High School District. Over 90% of the graduates go on to college.

Recreation: Surrounded by Tilden, Briones Parks; Lafayette and San Pablo Reservoirs with trails, fishing and picnicing. Orinda Parks and Recreation offer numerous classes and activities for all ages. Fourth of July, Easter and community concerts are planned for the Orinda community. Bruns Memorial Amphitheater offers the summer Shakespeare Festival. Orinda Country Clubs and Golf Course are private. There are numerous swim and tennis facilities.
