Paradise - the name conjures up a vision of Heaven! Our mountain ridge community is not on the way to anywhere; it ranges in elevation from about 1700 feet to perhaps 2500 feet as it goes from south to north; rising from the valley floor to the Cascade Mountains or the Sierras (depending on which geologist you consult). There is a rich history on our Paradise Ridge; gold mining; logging; rugged mountain pioneers who came to this ridge about one hundred and fifty years ago. Our climate involves somewhat rainy winters (our bountiful forests love that) and warm dry summers. All sorts of natural recreation opportunities exist on our ridge yet we are not so isolated that people can not descend to the valley cities to sample the amenities they offer. We are high enough above the valley floor to be relatively smog and fog free; yet not so high that our winters are a constant battle with snow (we do have some white stuff in some years, however; and snowmobiling is a popular winter pastime in the mountains above us). We are close enough to Lake Oroville for lots of summer boating fun; and close enough to mountain forests for nature exploration. In short; our communities have a lot to offer those who are tired of the city rat race! Please come and see us!
