California Real Estate & Relocation Guide
Pebble Beach, California
Population: 6,940
Located in Monterey County
If you want to find paradise on earth, you will find it right here on the edge of Monterey Bay. Pebble Beach is the perfect place, from its perfect climate, pristine beaches, beautiful beach homes and old fashioned way of life.
Pebble Beach itself is only a small town, with few houses, but is surrounded by one of the most famous resorts in the world, and has the same name as the town. With spas, golf courses, trail riding and more, this resort is a world-class vacation spot.
Many of the homes that surround the Bay, have views of the Bay, even though some may be set back from the Bay. Homes come with a steep price though, and many of the homes are bought initially as investments, and used as vacation rentals, where they can be rented out for an average of $3,000 per week. Homes to purchase start at $1,000,000 and go on up from there.
This area is an interesting mix of eclectic people, from artists, and sculptors, to the odd actor here and there. Many of the residents have lived in Pebble Beach their whole lives and would not consider moving anywhere else. But they are always eager to welcome a new face.
For recreation outside of the immediate area, look no further than the Old Fisherman's Wharf, which offers whale watching excursions, or go fishing for rockfish or salmon. Watch sea lions and otters frolic and have seafood cocktail, clam chowder, fresh & smoked fish, pizza and fresh salt water taffy. Visit the Maritime Museum or Native American Museum on Custom House Plaza.
Catch the bike path by Fisherman's Wharf. Old Monterey has restored historic adobes and Colton Hall where California's constitution was signed.
Pebble Beach residents enjoy and take advantage of oceans, beaches, and a perfect climate, there is no need to drive for hours just to "get away from it all". Come and enjoy the perfect Californian way of life right here!
