Rancho Santa Fe is one of the most prestigious addresses in the county situated approximately seven miles from the beach in a rustic valley. The city center, a hamlet really, consists of a library, resort inn, some restaurants and stores. The small but quaint town is home to many celebrities and famous authors living in mansions or comfortable homes surrounded with orange groves and equestrian trails. The area is described as "Country Delightful" dotted with upscale resorts and country clubs. Housing is a mix of old, fairly old, and new. The subdivisions are run as homeowner associations with codes, covenants and restrictions. Much if the new growth is because of Torry Pines High School, one of the highest scoring schools in the county. |
