California Real Estate & Relocation Guide
San Clemente, California
Population: 45,050
Located in Orange County
San Clemente is a casual, invigorating, laid- back beach town, with great schools, a strong sense of community and gently rolling hills that continually pull you right down to the beach. Many homes have great views of either the ocean or the mountains (and sometimes both!) San Clemente has a small town feel but offers many restaurants, hotels and shops and public parks and beaches.
San Clemente has a wide range of housing available, to fit many budgets. Choices range from ocean-view condos and multi-family dwellings in the "Pier Bowl" area of downtown, to the beachfront estates in the gated communities of Cyprus Cove and Cyprus Shores. There are also a number of mainstream family neighborhoods close to the beach as well as in the hills. Homes built within the last few years are available in Forster Ranch and Talega, where building of new homes continues as well. Prices range from $400,000 to $ 750,000 and up.
San Clemente is currently in a rapid growth stage, with new homes being added all the time, primarily in the communities of Talega and Forster Highlands in the northeast part of town. The new construction is made up primarily of single-family homes, but there are also some condos and townhouses available. In the established parts of town, the range of housing available varies widely, from condos and multi-family dwellings in the "Pier Bowl" area of downtown to the beachfront estates in the gated communities of Cyprus Cove and Cyprus Shores to the mainstream family neighborhoods in the hills east of the freeway. San Clemente offers something for everyone.
