Temecula, CaliforniaIf you live in Temecula, you live within an hour or so of all that Southern California has to offer. What do you want to do: Spend time on a lake fishing or swimming, have a skiing weekend, spend time on a Pacific beach, take in a concert, stroll and shop through mile high villages, stroll and shop in ocean side towns, see the dessert bloom in the Spring, golf at one of more than a dozen championship level courses, hike on endless trails through all types of terrain; can you think of more, Temecula probably has it. One of our main attractions is Old Town Temecula. With that Old Western feel, with shops and restaurants and shows and many special events, it brings people from afar to take in the great atmosphere. Of course, everyone knows about the Balloon and Wine festival that brings thousands to our hospitality every year. We also have annual Rod Runs, July 4th parades, and special Dickens nights during the month of December with shops open late, Christmas caroling, and decorations lining the wood planked streets. Old Town is also the home of the Children's Museum and soon to be the home of our state of the art Theater for live performances (plays). Jazz concerts are offered at Thornton Winery from April thru October with Top Name entertainers. Also, we have two other wineries that offer Jazz concerts now. One is Wilson Creek Winery and the other is a brand new resort called South Coast Resort and Spa. One more thing, we have, in September, the Temecula Film Festival. Day trips include: Mt. Palomar Observatory; San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park; Las Vegas is less than a 4 hour drive, or you can visit the many Casinos just minutes from home; Palm Springs is less than a two hour drive where you can golf or take a tram to the top of a 11,000 foot mountain, LA is less than a two hour drive; it's an hour or so to Lake Arrowhead or a little more than an hour to Big Bear where you can do a B&B or shop or ski or go boating or laze around. Of course, Temecula's famous wine country provides beauty, fun and great wine tasting and excellent restaurants. Temecula has much to offer in business and commercial opportunities, but if you need to commute to San Diego or Orange Counties, that's also an hour or so from here. Our weather is also something to write back East about; lots of sunshine, just 10 inches rain annually, hot summers and pleasant winters. Temecula still offers great value in housing in the Southern California area. Your choice of gracious living: If you need a cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath single family residence or condo or a palatial 8000 square foot home on 20 acres with forever views, we got it. Do you like a neighborhood atmosphere, or do you like a private, rural setting, we got it. Do you want a pool, a spa, RV parking, landscaped lot, views, golf course, lakeside, you name it, we got it. We even have ranches and horse country properties and lots of places to ride. Find homes for sale in Temecula California
