Green Mountain Falls Green Mountain Falls is located off of Highway 24 between Colorado Springs and Woodland Park. This town with close to 1000 residents still retains the feel of a quaint western town. Green Mountain Falls started out as a spot along a trail used by the Ute tribes, Spanish explorers and finally by settlers moving west. Soon, Green Mountain Falls became a vacation destination for dust-weary Kansans, then upper class Easterners. Today, the town is recognized for it?s natural beauty, hiking trails, and Gazebo Lake (with winter ice skating), surrounded by restaurants and cabins.
