Southern Washington DC is also referred to as the Capitol Hill which is a fourteen block area. South Washington DC is made up of mostly Victorian historic homes, one of the largest Victorian historic areas in the country. South Washington DC is one of the most dog-friendly areas in the country, complete with a hike specifically for the dogs, highlighting the cities oldest fire hydrants.

As part of the District, Capitol Hill offers the attractions of any city—nearby theaters, nightclubs, restaurants, world-class museums and professional sports, plus the White House, Capitol, Supreme Court and other great buildings housing the national government.
