Dania Beach is the focal point of Broward County, with easy access to airport, seaport, convention centers, major highway and rail transportation. The city boasts the Design Center of the Americas, a major interior design center, Sea Tech, as satellite campus of Florida Atlantic University, and Bass Pro Shops, a 150,000-square foot shopping complex that opened in 1998 and is supposed to draw more than 1 million visitors a year. Next door to the sports retail center is the International Fishing Hall of Fame. Dania plays hostess to many mariners and water loving residents. Dania is also known for it's Antique Row, an 80-store strip along Federal Highway and a Museum of Natural History.
