Davie is a one-of-a-kind town in in Broward County, Florida, which is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Palm Beach County to the north, Miami/Dade to the south, and the Everglades and Seminole reservation to the west.

And just where in Broward? Davie is due south of Plantation, west of Hollywood, north of Pembroke Pines, and on three sides of Cooper City! This town really sprawls, and in area, is one of Florida's largest.

When you arrive into Davie, you'll know it. The town boasts an unmistakable atmosphere in South Florida, because you might think you've taken a wrong turn and ended up in the old West.

By design, businesses and offices lining downtown Davie's main Street, Davie Road, all have an "Old Western" motif, with wood siding and porch columns. Some, including the downtown McDonalds, even have hitching posts where you might find horses tied and waiting for their riders to return. Founded by cattlemen and ranchers, Davie was the true frontier town of South Florida when founded in the early 1900's, and when some of the older saloons were torn down in the 70's and 80's, many a bullet hole went with them.
