Countless folks have settled in Villa Rica because it combines country and city living. The metropolis of Atlanta is only 30 to 40 minutes away via speedy interstate roadways (when the morning "rush hour" is over) while country-type benefits abound closer to home.
Less traffic befouls city streets, the pace of life is lots slower. Residents can and do know their neighbors by name. Merchants can still learn customers' names if they seriously want to do so. Police and fire protection brings a sense of security. Schools and churches and recreational facilities feed both body and soul.
Public schools are part of the Carroll County school system while church-related schools can be found along with home-schooling efforts. A privately-owned Montessori School is the only such institution in the county. Villa Rica High School, headed by Principal Lynn Jackson, Villa Rica Middle School with Kaylene Smith as principal and Villa Rica Primary School where Bernice Brooks is principal, all bring strong educational and extracurricular endeavors before their students.
