Warner Robins, Georgia
Population: 50,000 Located in Houston County
Warner Robins is a wonderful place to live, raise children, work, play, or even retire! Warner Robins is a growing community that has much to offer being relatively close to the major cities yet far enough away to steer clear of the large crime element. We have wonderful schools for our youth & Warner Robins High has produced a winning Quad-A football team several times in the past twenty years! We are unique in that we support the Robins Air Force Logistic Center. One of only 3 depots remaining in the United States. Robins Air Force Base is the only base to have been awarded the "Commander & Chiefs Center of Excellence" award in 1995. We are quite proud of that! The 9th largest city in Georgia, Warner Robins is part of the Macon metro area. Once a train stop for local farmers, Waner Robins is now known as the "International City," because of the number of people from thoughout the world who have resided at the nearby Robins Air Force Base. The official motto of Warner Robins is EDIMGIAFAD, which is an acronym for "Every Day In Middle Georgia Is Armed Forces Appreciation Day".
As of January 2007, the city of Warner Robins is currently working on redeveloping and renewing areas that have suffered from urban decay and/or abandonment through neglect and city growth. The city's plans also include to eventually create a downtown area that will include shopping, entertainment and restaurants and hopefully in the process promote and attract more commercial business to the area.
