Situated between the Danskin and Owyhee Mountains, the city of Mountain Home is a small, but growing town, a short drive from the state capital. With the Mountain Home Air Force Base just 10 miles away, the community takes great pride of their neighboring residents, as seen in the annual Mountain Home Air Force Appreciation Day, which is one of the largest parades in Idaho.

The city is in close proximity to Sun Valley (a well renowned ski resort). Great fishing near and along the Snake River and camping and hunting is in abundance as well.
