Staffed with 27 full time and 23 reserve personnel, the Brownsburg Fire Department has two new fire stations and has paramedic service available at all times with an average response time of 5 1/2 minute.
Education in Brownsburg has one of the highest rating in the state. The School System received 4 star ranking at the High School and Junior High School. Academically students perform at the highest levels on standardized tests and physically students are at a competitive level as well. With well equipped state-of-the-art technology and extensive athletic facilities, Brownsburg students have excellent opportunities to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. An additional facility owned and operated by the Brownsburg Community School Corporation is the Challenger Learning Center. This internationally recognized middle school program allows students to plan, prepare and execute a simulated mission in space.
Brownsburg continually strives to maintain excellent parks. There are several major parks that provide residents with an opportunity for outdoor fun. Already with several large parks, the Brownsburg Parks Department has added its newest and largest recreation area. Williams Park is 77-acres and has a three-tier gazebo and travel roads. Future plans include basketball courts, sand volleyball, a wooden playground structure and several picnic shelters.
