Corydon and the surrounding county is primarily a residential/farming community. Gently rolling hills with numerous tributaries of the Ohio River lend to its rich agricultural abundance. Enjoy quiet evening strolls around the City Square, aglow with loads of antique/craft shops and art studios and terrific restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlors. We have plenty of recreation for the sports enthusiast. Our recreation includes parks, caves, river rafting, fishing, shopping, Caesar's Riverboat Gaming, golf, a country club and a lot of fresh air. Different musical groups perform free public concerts on the square during the summer. Corydon is also the site of the National Popcorn Festival. In addition, Corydon was the first capital of Indiana! Corydon is definitely a child friendly area with terrific schools!!! This community has plenty of warm, friendly people to welcome newcomers in an ole down-home fashion!
