Located in the fertile Wabash Valley, Delphi is the county seat of northern Indiana's Carroll County. With its historic buildings and homes, it is a fine example of our rich Midwestern heritage. Delphi enjoys the quiet, friendly community life of a hardworking small town while having access to all of the cultural and educational attractions of the larger cities. The Delphi school system revolves around a unique High School. The structure itself is a fine example of rich surfaces and efficiently organized spaces that form a total learning environment. A fine example of the new architecture for education is to be found in the recently completed Middle School. Along with the vocational wing, these structures highlight the strong educational system in Delphi. Two fine elementary schools round out the system. The fertile soils of Carroll County support some of the finest crops and farming operations of the Midwestern heartland's. The county is crossed by the Wabash and Tippecanoe rivers, by Deer Creek, Rock Creek and Wildcat Creek which also harbor lush green valleys and are a sparkling accent to the flat checkerboard of corn, soybeans, and wheat. In addition to the major denominations represented by the many churches in Delphi are the Old German Baptist and Amish church congregations. These honest, hard-working people add strength and diversity to the community.
