The only vice-presidential museum in the country, it houses a permanent exhibit on the vice-presidency and rotating exhibits of social, political and historical interest. Forks of the Wabash Historic Park tells the story of the local Miami and their relationship with early white settlers and the U.S. Government. At the Roanoke Area Heritage Center you'll find displays on local history and the Wabash & Erie Canal. Roanoke was the site of a Canal lock, and much of the Center's exhibition space is devoted to the history of the Canal and its impact on Huntington County. Enjoy world-class entertainment at the Merillat Centre for the Arts, located on the Huntington College Campus. This year, Huntington College is observing its centennial, and the Merillat Center has put together a schedule of performers to properly celebrate the occasion. Nationally recognized talent such as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Three Crosses, Scott Krippayne and keyboardist Ken Medema.
