New Castle is located at the hub of east central Indiana. We are within easy driving distance of Muncie (18mi.), Anderson (20mi.), Richmond (35 mi.), and Indianapolis (45 mi.). Employment, shopping, recreation and entertainment abound. Parks and golf courses including Summit Lake State Park are just a few minutes drive.

New Castle is home to a Chrysler plant, a community hospital, an oncology center, a sports medicine facility, the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame, and an Indiana University East Extension Center. Many visitors are attracted to New Castle for a number of horse shows.

For children there are activities including soccer, baseball, and basketball leagues. The YMCA is completing a major fund drive for a new facility. The humanities are well represented by an Arts Association, the Historical Society Museum, and First-Nighters and Guyer amateur theater.
