Every June, the town comes alive with the sounds of amusement rides, entertainers and special events for the Canal Days festival. Creating an economic impact estimated at one million dollars within the community, New Haven's Canal Days has a reputation for being one of Indiana's safest family festivals. The Festival Committee's nine-member volunteer board, in return, redistributes the proceeds to community causes that have the potential to impact each and every resident. To date, over $160,000 has been donated to city endeavors.

In mid-August, the Maumee Valley Steam and Gas Engine Show draws crowds from across the United States. Taking visitors back to the 'good ole days' when agriculture was a way of life, the show always highlights one tractor nameplate each year, along with crafts, quilts, sawmill demonstrations and fantastic food fresh from the farm! This event also provides a strong economic impact to the community.
