Warsaw, the county seat, has been ranked number 40 in the top 100 small towns in America. Economy
Known as the Orthopedic Capital of the World, Warsaw is home to the first orthopedic device manufacturer, the DePuy Manufacturing Company. Competitors, such as Biomet and Zimmer, Inc., the largest and most successful Orthopedic company in the world, are also located here. Several orthopedic suppliers are also present in the city.

Warsaw is also headquarters of Da-Lite, makers of commercial and home theater projection screens, and Little Crow Foods, manufacturer of the popular CoCo Wheats. Despite its industrial diversity and manufacturing excellence, Warsaw is surrounded by one of the strongest agricultural economies in the state of Indiana.

Recreation
Recreational areas abound in Warsaw and neighboring Kosciusko County. Visit the Lake City Greenway, a trail that traverses between Warsaw and Winona Lake with approximately 4.5 miles completed to date. The City-County Athletic Complex (CCAC) is located on the west side of Warsaw where over 3,000 softball and soccer games are played each year. The Wagon Wheel Playhouse, a theatre in the round, hosts concerts and plays throughout the year. In addition, more than 20 golf courses are located within 45 minutes of Warsaw.

Warsaw's three lakes and seventeen parks offer much to the outdoor lover. Beaches, access sites, fitness trails and new tennis courts are all open to the public. If you like to be close to nature, try Pike Lake Campground, one of the largest in the area. For a less vigorous approach, stroll through the walking gardens, perennial gardens and biblical gardens. If visiting during the summer, check out Central Park where TGIF and the Friday evening Performing Arts Series are held.

Whether you're looking for a single day's activities or a whole week's worth, come and discover a wealth of history, culture and entertainment that is Warsaw.
