Council Bluffs, Iowa is an old railroad town across the Missouri River from Omaha, Nebraska. We are centrally located for all types of transportation. We are a town of approximately 60,000 and growing. Our downtown is mainly businesses with our retail areas located south and east of our city and along Broadway east and west through town.
We have excellent schools, both private and public. The Council Bluffs library is newly opened and a show place for any community. The city is nestled in the Rolling Bluffs with mature hardwood trees and beautiful landscape.
We have several new subdivisions creating approximately 175 new homes yearly. Many new industries have replaced our reliance on the railroads and balanced our economy. Council Bluffs has strong leadership with an eye to the future and our town is improving daily.
With new industry we have funds to rebuild our infrastructure, plus we have many parks and a new sports center. We're just a great little town, please join us!
