Sioux City is a friendly city offering the amenities of a large city, yet the ease of travel and small town involvement and interest in people and projects. There is good shopping with shopping centers located throughout the city. There is an exceptional new Art Center, a museum, a community theater, two colleges and a technical school. The medical community is very prominent with two hospitals and a cancer center.

There are city parks located throughout the city with events year around. Baseball fields, soccer fields, swimming pools, golf courses, walking and bike trails are located around the city. There is a pavilion and a Riverboat Casino at Chris Larsen Park along the waterfront of the Missouri River. Grandview Park has a band shell and hosts a Blues Festival. The Explorers play baseball at Lewis and Clark Park. All of this makes Sioux City a very comfortable and nice place to live.
