The 10 foot wide asphalt trail is 7.5 miles in length beginning on the west side of the Cedar River in Waverly, heading southeast, crossing a spectacular 500 foot bridge over the Cedar River through the downtown area. The trail continues southeast and eastward with the adjacent woods providing natural habitat for deer, turkey, fox, and other woodland creatures. There are a total of eight bridges on the trail, offering beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside. Traveling the entire length is well worth it as many people feel that the most scenic areas and best views are found toward the east end of the trail.
