Edmonton is a city in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, United States. The area was first surveyed by Revolutionary War veteran and Virginian Edmund P. Rogers in 1800. The town was established by the Kentucky legislature as a trading post in 1836 and was named the county seat in 1860. The post office first opened on February 18, 1830 and was named, though incorrectly spelled, for Edmund Rogers. It is the county seat of Metcalfe County. The rock band Black Stone Cherry and the country music band Kentucky Headhunters are from here.

Beula Villa Dance Hall, Sulphur Well, KY The Beula Villa Dance Hall Motel was a very popular tourist attraction up until the early 50's. The sulphur water fountain at Sulphur Well is still enjoyed by hundreds of visitors each year. When you are traveling through Metcalfe County stop and have a picnic at the facilities in Sulphur Well or enjoy country ham and red-eye gravy still served at Porter' restaurant.
