Although the feeling is still quite rural, in recent years Union and outlying areas have been experiencing a surge in residential growth bringing to the area newer suburban housing as well as luxury estates nestled on wooded acreage.
There is no major business or industry in the area and the residents seem to prefer it that way.
People seem to fall in love with Union because it's one of the few places you can still purchase a home in the "country" and be only minutes from city conveniences and the expressways. Union residents have the distinction of having the highest average property values in the county, the highest per capita income in the county and the lowest unemployment rate! Quiet and inviting, charming, warm and friendly--a real sense of community can be found here.
It's truly a great place to raise a family or a wonderful place to retire. Union has it all!
