Many employment opportunities are coming available with the Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) that is bringing jobs in technology, science, and intelligence to Aberdeen Proving Ground. This is an on-going process and is slated to take place in 2009, 2010, and 2011. It appears that there will be opportunities both in the civilian workforce but also with contractors and subcontractors of the Department of Defense. Each year the individual towns celebrate their uniqueness by having festivals to show off local crafts, talent, food, and more. The Fair Hill Races, the Cecil County Fair, Ragin' on the River, and much more are various events scheduled annually. Cecil County has five rivers which to enjoy whether it is fishing, boating, swimming, or skiing.
