Rockville is the second largest city in Maryland and has been Montgomery County's seat since 1777. It is located 12 miles northwest of the capital. Residents have easy access to Washington, D.C., other Montgomery County locations such as Bethesda, Silver Spring and Gaithersburg via Rockville Pike (355), 1-270, and the Rockville Metro Center

Rockville is both a residential community and employment center. It is home to many businesses including bio-tech and high-tech firms and several government agencies.
