Allen Park is an advantageous location with easy access to major interstates and freeways. Allen Park is located ten miles southwest of Downtown Detroit, and adjoins Lincoln Park on the east, Taylor on the west and Melvindale on the north.

It is also a short distance from many downtown hospitals, which allows for many of the staff to live locally. A straight shot up the Southfield gets residents to the northern suburbs easily, and Allen Park is also convenient to the I94 and I75.
