Birch Run used to be a farming area that was known as the place to turn off to go to Frankenmuth when traveling north on I-75. Now it has turned in to a residential area for people who work in Flint and Saginaw. It also has one of the largest Discount Shopping Malls in the country and the area is now home to many new and exciting things. There is now a "NHL" Center here and the ice rink supports hockey for young and old. There are also many new restaurants in the area and a new Golf Course is being built next to the discount mall. It is a fun place to visit and live.
