Thanks for visiting Carson City on the web. We are a small town with big city services. We have excellent water and sewer, which we are updating continually. Two new water wells have been installed since 2000 and a new ½ million-gallon water storage tank is in the works for 2005.

We are always being told how clean our city is and that is because of our dedicated DPW crew and work release from our regional prison. Carson City is also a zoned community. We have a hospital that many cities ten times our size would love to have. Through dedicated staff and administration Carson City Hospital has become a regional center with state of the art surgical facilities, labs, and a new ER in the planning stages. The hospital has numerous clinics with daily visiting specialized doctors.

Carson City has over 50 acres of parks and playgrounds. Haradine Park, resting along the banks of Fish Creek, has playground equipment, a fishing pond and two shelters that can be reserved for family outings. West Park has a $120,000 Leathers playground that was built by volunteers from our community. Grove Park has a shelter and limited playground equipment for more of an intimate atmosphere.

Our community offers several churches of various denominations to serve the spiritual needs of our citizens. We have a remarkable school system, the kids are great and our local teachers do a fantastic job. Over 80 percent of our students continue their education after graduation.

Carson City is a wonderful place to raise your children in a clean country atmosphere. If you need that big city life, we are with an easy one-hour drive of Grand Rapids or Lansing and you are able to return at night to a safe and secure community.
