Harrison Township is located in southeast Macomb County along the shores of Lake St. Clair and is also home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The Clinton River flows through the heart of the township into Lake St. Clair.
The township's population enjoys a host of water related recreational opportunities. Metropolitan Beach, one of three recreational parks within the county, offers resident's year around recreational activities. A recently completed bike path along Metropolitan Parkway provides township residents with a pleasant, non-motorized, link to Metro Beach Metropark.
Harrison Township is often referred to as "BoatTown". It is one of the boating capitals of Michigan and its wide variety of housing reflects this. Many fine homes are located on canals with easy access to the lake or on Lake St. Clair itself. Most other residential properties are just minutes from a boat launch or one of the many marinas. From Harrison Township you have the opportunity to cruise the entire Great Lake system.
