The cities of Mankato/North Mankato offer much to their residents. Shopping is great at the newly created and recently expanded River Hills Mall. Festivals take place winter and summer including an annual Native American Pow Wow. Mankato is home to the summer training camp of the Minnesota Vikings and fans and media come from all over the nation to take part. Minnesota is known for its lakes, and the Mankato/North Mankato area has many, plus some beautiful river valleys.
