Prior Lake is a dream come true. It is one of the most wonderful environments in which to live. Prior Lake is a developing suburb with a small town atmosphere. Prior Lake residents enjoy year-round recreation and entertainment activities. Within a few miles of the city are beautiful golf courses including nationally ranked The Wilds with it beautiful bent-grass fairways and manicured greens.

The city is just completing the development of the 140+ acre Lakefront Park featuring tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, outdoor performing arts theater, sliding hills, basketball courts and walking trails. The other nearby regional parks offer cross-country skiing, horseback riding, camping and hiking.

Mystic Lake Casino/Hotel, the second largest Indian owned casino in the nation, keeps getting larger and larger. The existing 200 room hotel tower will double in size this next year. Owned and operated by the Mdewakanton Sioux Community, it has proven to be a premier entertainment attraction for the entire Twin Cities area.

The Prior Lake schools are ranked superior in nearly all levels of pursuit. After numerous construction projects, the district now maintains several newly renovated buildings as well as a new elementary school. The senior high serves students in grades 10-12, a middle school serves the students in grades 7-9 and four elementary schools serve students in grades K-6. An additional early learning school provides numerous early childhood education. The citizens of Prior Lake value their community and support it through the many clubs, volunteer organizations, youth groups, and the new library. Prior Lake has it all.
