The park lists among its amenities: boat rentals, cabins, RV hook-ups, spacious shaded picnic areas, picnic pavilions, playground, a beach and swimming area, and a water slide park for a total family outdoor recreational experience.
Located within the City of Waynesboro there exists an abundance of quality recreational sites for the enjoyment of visitors and residents. Two excellent parks offer children playgrounds and equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas and pavilions. Hogan Park offers four ballfields, picnic pavilion, spacious open areas and batting cages. Jones County Junior College, only 33 miles away, offers two years of senior parallel courses. William Carey College and the University of Southern Mississippi, less than an hour away, are excellent institutions of higher learning for those persons wishing to obtain a four year college degree and advanced degrees.
Excellent medical services are provided throughout the county to citizens in need of medical services. Seven clinics offer a variety of out-patient services to local residents. The Wayne County General Hospital is a state-of-the-art general full-service and intensive care facility offering 80 plus beds, a well trained full time staff of technicians, nurses and physicians, and a full time emergency care facility.
