Littleton is the shopping, services and manufacturing center of the region, with dozens of stores and restaurants, several banks, a fine hospital, a variety of churches, good schools, and a complete array of professional and social services.
Though many people equate Littleton with its bustling Main Street, this vibrant community has other faces as well: quiet residential streets lined with well-tended homes; country roads winding through wooded hills; farms seemingly plucked from a New England postcard album; tidy industrial parks; and the great expanse of Moore Dam Lake stretching to the shores of Vermont. Littleton has recently been choosen as one of three Main St. communities to take part in the National Main Street Program.
