It is the largest municipality in Morris County and has grown rapidly within a well-planned program developed by its Township officials. The township is intersected by Routes I-80, I-287, I-280, U.S. 46 and U.S. 202, State Highways 10 and 53. It is situated 17 miles from the international airport and deep water port at Newark and just 23 miles from New York City.
