in Washington Township Robbinsville, New Jersey is the village that Washington Township in Mercer County is centered around. Just north of the intersection of I-195 and US Route 130, it is located along the New Jersey Turnpike in central New Jersey.
Once mostly rural wide-open space, the picturesque homes of the township take on the image of small town America. The newly announced town center development is planned to enhance this image, with homes that feature front porches and picket fences. The town center will be the first of its kind in New Jersey and residents of Robbinsville can take advantage of nearby boutique shops, services and restaurants. This new Town Center is a mixture of 1,000 residential units, Main Street sidewalk cafes, stores and community activities and 30 acres of public gardens, parks and lakes. There have been many townhouse communities built within the past few years. There are several housing developments in Washington township that are under five years old, with the selling prices in the upper $400,000 range, with house sizes from 2,200 to 4,000 square feet.
Both Sharon elementary and Pond Road middle schools have applied as Blue Ribbon Schools. Lawrence High School in a neighboring township is where the secondary students presently are instructed, However Robbinsville is currently building their first high school scheduled to open in 2004/5.
Even though it's primarily rural, Robbinsville's location - just off the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 7A and literally minutes away from both the Princeton Junction and the Hamilton railroad stations make this the fastest growing community within Mercer County. There is access to all of the amenities of a big city and residents enjoy their own police and fire departments, quality medical facilities and an extensive system of municipal and county parks.
Robbinsville has everything to offer families with excellent schools, affordable housing prices and great location - Princeton is nearby and the commute to NYC is easy. Robbinsville could be the place you call home!
