Washington Township, New Jersey is a scenic parcel of land ideally located, just under an hour east of Pennsylvania's Pocono region, approximately one hour west of Manhattan, and one and one-half hours north of Philadelphia. A part of the Skylands Region, Washington offers a wealth of advantages to residents and businesses alike. Steeped in rich history, Washington has deep roots in the transportation industry in particular, and a strong carriage industry in the late 1800's/early 1900's. Warren County is home to the most popular international confectionery manufacturer in the world, Masterfoods USA, makers of M&M's(r) Chocolate Candies and a host of other products. Known for their rural charm, many quaint antique and gift shops dot the landscape in and around Washington. Due in large part to its rural roots, farming is still an important part of life here. More affordable than many other areas, Washington offers beautiful views, and a slower pace of life because of the rural feel.
