Right at the toll way to Brooklyn, lies the small town of Atlantic Beach. This small community of only 2,300 residents is proud of their town for many reasons; a great commute, white, sandy beaches and being surrounded by water.

Silver Point Beach Park is a national park, found right on the tip of the mainland. It is also known as Gateway National Recreation Park. Atlantic Beach is also close to the Rockaway Inlet, a popular place for those with yachts and boats to traverse, swim and fish from.

Water sports are the name of the game! With a private club that offers pools, docks and private beaches, Atlantic Beach residents enjoy only the best! Winter is a time of stunning beauty and tranquility that invites thrilling activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing, or the cozy relaxation of enjoying a good book by a fireplace.

Because of its proximity to New York City, plus the fact that Atlantic Beach is on the tip of the Mainland, right across from Brooklyn, housing is rather limited; and also tends to be more expensive than other suburbs that surround New York City. Most homes here start in the mid 300's, although it is possible to find a "steal"! For upscale homes, this is one area you might want to start looking.

As for nightlife - you're in the "Big Apple" - what more could anyone want? With year-round activities, from the orchestra, to opera, Broadway shows, TV shows, and Central Park, there is so much to do in the city. Boredom will certainly never top the list of a resident here in Atlantic Beach!
