Greenwood Lake, New York

Population: 3,411

Located in Orange County

Welcome to the "Best Little Village in Orange County", Greenwood Lake. One of three incorporated villages in the Town of Warwick in Orange County New York.

Our Village of 3400 boasts the biggest recreation lake in Orange County (7.3 miles) that spans into New Jersey, thereby making it one of only a few bi-state lakes in the country. Greenwood Lake has been the winter home of babe Ruth and training center for many legendary boxers, which include Sugar Ray Robinson. Enjoy boating, swimming and fishing in the summer, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter (conditions permitting). The village is also nestled between two beautiful ski areas. We have scenic hiking trails, one of which is the Appalachian Trail. After a day of fun on our lake, stop by any one of the various lakefront restaurant's and marinas to enjoy a wonderful meal or watch the sunset from the numerous vistas and dream of days gone by.

Greenwood Lake, a great place to visit, live or open a business. Less than one hour from New York City, yet a world away!
