Henrietta, New York

Henrietta was originally called the Woods of West Town, a part of Pittsford until 1818. Permanent settling began on both east and west sides of Henrietta in 1806. Farming was the major occupation. Henrietta in the 1950's was referred to as a "Boom Town" because of its rapid expansion. Before prospective buyers of new homes and industry could be attracted, an adequate water supply had to be made available. the water system was installed by 1954; a sewage system by 1956; gas lines were laid, supplying many homes with heat. The population zoomed from 3,800 in the early 1950's to 14,000 in the early 60's. Through the years, Henrietta has continued to grow, building a good school system, attracting industry, churches and developing shopping and recreation areas. Yet, it has maintained its small town atmosphere and kept it motto true-"the town of friendship"

Henrietta's convenient location and the businesses that have chosen Henrietta as their home, makes Henrietta one of the most affordable and desirable suburbs to reside. Restaurants and shopping are within minutes. A few miles to the south is the town of Rush which boasts lots of open land, wildlife, yet shares our school system and all the amenities Henrietta has to offer.
